David Buckley, in addition to his role with Apple REIT Six, Inc., also serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Counsel for Apple REIT Seven, Inc., Apple REIT Eight, Inc. and Apple REIT Nine, Inc. each of which is a real estate investment trust. Mr. Buckley served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Apple Hospitality Two, Inc. until May of 2007 when the company was sold to an affiliate of ING Clarion and Apple Hospitality Five, Inc. until October of 2007 when it was sold to Inland American Real Estate Trust. Mr. Buckley oversees the Company’s SEC filings, property closings and all other legal matters.

Prior to his service with Apple REIT Six, David developed a strong understanding of commercial real estate as an associate with McGuireWoods LLP, a full-service law firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, for six years.

David holds a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Lowell, Massachusetts. David is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Richmond Bar Association.

David resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and their two sons.
