Justin Knight serves as President for Apple REIT Six, Inc., Apple REIT Seven, Inc., Apple REIT Eight, Inc. and Apple REIT Nine, Inc. Mr. Knight joined the companies in 2000 and has been a key player in developing the corporate infrastructure and strategies, negotiating more than $3.9 billion in acquisitions, and overseeing and supporting property renovations, a $425 million merger of two REITs, the sale of Apple Hospitality Two, Inc., the sale of Apple Hospitality Five, Inc. and six public offerings of equity capital, together totaling $3.925 billion, and another ongoing offering of $2 billion. Justin has encouraged his team to think innovatively and respond dynamically. He has developed a knack for identifying valuable hotels in strong markets and driving performance through asset management and strategic property improvements.

Prior to joining the Apple REIT Companies, Justin worked in web design and from 1996 to 1998, he served as Senior Asset Manager and Director of Quality Control for Cornerstone Realty Income Trust, a REIT that owned and operated apartment communities in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas.

Justin serves on the Marriott Owners Advisory Council and the Hilton Garden Inn Advisory Council. He is co-chairman for the Cashell Donahoe Scholarship Memorial Fund created to provide need-based scholarships to students of Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Virginia.

Justin holds a Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Corporate Strategy and Finance from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in Political Science from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

Mr. Knight was raised in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Glade M. Knight. Justin and his wife Kari reside in Midlothian, Virginia and have four children.
